Who We Are

In 1990, Wilton Technologies was born out of a real need in the glassblowing world. I watched my wife Leslie — a professional glassblower and founder of Blacksheep Glass — struggle to find burners that could actually keep up with her hot shop studio. Furnaces and glory holes — everything depended on reliable, high-temperature refractory ceramic burner nozzles, and the options on the market simply weren't good enough.

When her attempts to find a solution came up empty, she turned to me — an inventor and master machinist — and made it very clear I needed to do better. Her exact words were a bit more colorful, befitting an artist who works with 2300°F flames every day.

That challenge became Wilton Technologies. The goal was to design a flame-retaining ceramic burner nozzle that was quiet, powerful, instantly ignited, immune to flame walk-off, and built to last. Not just a good burner — the best ceramic burner nozzle on the market. Made right here in the USA.

What we created has stood the test of time. Hot glass studios, glassblowing programs, and working artists across the country have been running our ceramic burner nozzles in their furnaces and glory holes for decades — many are on their second or third order after 20+ years of continuous service.

Old school in values, precise in engineering — every Wilton Technologies ceramic burner nozzle is a product of American craftsmanship and a deep understanding of what hot shops actually need.

In that same spirit, I also founded DynamicDisplaySystems.com and InstaShelves.com — tools built for artists who need beautiful, practical ways to display their work.

At Wilton Technologies, we don't just create tools - we elevate artistry.
